Being smushed with affection by her son and the man she loved was probably the greatest feeling in the world. Nicholas pressed his lips to her cheek sloppily and and squeezed her from one side while Patch had her at the other. She didn't even care that they were being disgusting and sloppy and ridiculous, those were her boys.

Nicholas scooped his mother up and away from Patch, giving her a firm squeeze, "Hi, Mama." He set her back on her feet, keeping one arm around her. She was smiling like a loon back and forth between the two men who may not have shared the same genetics, surely shared the same love for her.

Layla pinched her boy's cheek and smiled, "My beautiful boys. I love you guys." Her hand traced over her stomach and she smiled wider, "And I love you, little nugget." She looked up at Patch, "What do you think it'll be? Another boy or a girl? We already had a little you, I want a little me now." Even though she got that from Emma.

Layla shot Patch a dirty look and turned to her son, "Nicky, you know me, do you really think I'm capable of being mean or demanding?" She fluttered her eyelashes at her baby boy and grinned as angelically as she could. He got his persuasiveness from her, surely he could cut her a break.

Nick laughed and booped her on the nose, "Sorry Mom, I love you, you know, but like I know you. I know you very well." He glanced up at his dad and smirked. The two of them were definitely in for it. He remembered the stories of how she was when she was pregnant with him. Patch had been described as saintly by the very woman that tried to act as if she was so innocent and sweet. She'd told him a long time ago that Patch was her saving grace during the pregnancy.

Layla chomped at his finger that booped her and she frowned, "I hope it's a girl, without Emma, you two gang up on me. Hardly fair. I'm pregnant after all." She was planning on milking that for all it was worth. Her eyes followed Patch into the kitchen and she smiled, she loved them regardless of how much of a pain they were.

The soon to be eldest son of the Adams fist pumped when his father mentioned food, "Hell yes! Hook me up! I love when dad cooks." He said as an aside to his mother.

Nick snapped his eyes at his mother, "You told him?! Godddddd, whyyyyy." He rubbed his hand through his hair and groaned, "Just because you two waited that long to get together doesn't mean I have to. Ya'll did it in a weird way."

Layla snickered and shrugged, "I tell him everything, I couldn't help it."

He groaned dramatically when Patch told him to get his own food, but then he laughed and kissed his mother's cheek quickly after playfully punching his dad in the arm and making his way to the kitchen. Luckily for him, he knew where everything was. He scooped what was left of the food onto his plate and sat at the kitchen table. Nick shoveled the food into his mouth happily and wiggled in his seat, just like he had since he was three years old.

The sight of it made Layla smile and she could feel tears filling her eyes again. The hormones were beginning to take control. She turned into Patch and wrapped her arms around him to hide the tears that started falling. She couldn't wait to have more memories like that.

Layla scrunched her nose and shook her head, "I'm afraid he's not." She grinned at her boys as they played around and acted like idiots. Her idiots.

When Patch wrapped his arms around her she melted and gripped his shirt tightly. It made her happy, it really did, but she was already annoyed by the crying. If it was anything like her first pregnancy, she was in for it. She nuzzled his chest and squeezed him tighter.

Nick let out another groan, "I am so glad I got past the crying thing when Mom told me the first time. Can you both quit it, gawd. You're weighing me down and I'm trying to enjoy my food."

Layla laughed against her love's chest and pulled back, wiping at her eyes, "For now. Just you wait, my love, the moment you hear little nugget's heartbeat, you're gonna cry. When you find out what it is, you're gonna cry. The first moment it squeezes your finger, you're gonna cry." She looked up at Patch, her chin resting on his chest before she turned to her son, "Because you're going to love this baby just as much as we loved you. And the crying is inevitable."

Layla followed him back to the table and kept her hand gripped tightly around his. Nick rolled his eyes at them, still shoveling food into his face. When Patch started reminiscing about when he was younger, Nick paused in his eating and grinned. He could remember a lot of his childhood, especially after Emma was born and he immediately took to her. Of course he knew it would be about as bad as that when his younger sibling was born, but he didn't think he should admit it out loud.

He looked at his mother and she stuck her tongue out at him which caused him to laugh. Layla could see it written on his face that he was excited. How could he not be? They were all about to welcome another addition to their perfect little family. And everything was on the right track this time around. "You know, it was never really that hard to beg mom to stay. I can only imagine why," He smirked at her and she swatted at him with her free hand.

"I don't know what you mean by that. Nope." She'd definitely loved Patch then and parting ways with him was never an easy thing to do, the fact that her son saw right through it was just proof that he was hers. Always in tune with her thoughts and feelings, even when she tried so hard to ignore them.

Nick scrunched up his face, "C'mon, I'm trying to eat! It's bad enough that I know how baby's are made, okay, can we not show me first hand? That'd be good." Funny how when he was younger he'd been begging for them to get together and now he was begging them not to be gross about it in front of him.

Layla squirmed and shoved at Patch, "Nope. I thought you were a dork then. I couldn't possibly have liked such a dork. No way, no how." Even though she'd openly told him that she loved him now and was having a kid with him. He hadn't become less of a dork over the years, if anything it just got worse. She covered his face with her hand and shook her head, "Don't look at me like that. I don't like it. And keep your lips to yourself. I am pregnant gosh dangit!"

Their son rolled his eyes, "You two are gross. I can't even imagine being like you two in a relationship. I think I'd throw up." Lies. Big fat lies. He wanted what they had.

Layla wiped her hand on his shoulder and narrowed her eyes at him before smiling. She squeezed his hand beneath the table and laced her fingers through his. Patch was probably the most perfect person for her, silly as he was, he kept her on her toes and he made her feel good about herself even when she was about to gain a million pounds.

Nick rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. You do that. It ain't gonna happen though, Pops. I'm just gonna date, none of that love junk. I don't want to gross people out the way you do." He grinned too wide and finished off the rest of his food. "So do I get to tell Emma? Or? And when are we gonna start thinking about names and things. I know, I know, we're not sure that it's a boy, but we're sure that it's a boy. I mean c'mon."
