Long term relationships for Ethan sort of ended with the departure of his ex-wife. The only commitment he was willing to make was to his son. That being said, being with Faith felt a little too easy. She was just as non-committal as he was but the chemistry and fire was right there. There was no expectations but intimacy seemed to come so naturally between them. It was all good.
Ethan felt just as comfortable as Faith seemed to be so there was no hesitation in returning the affection Faith was giving him.
"What's unfair is how much of a distraction you're being when you're the one insisting on watching the game." Ethan smirked as he pulled his head down slightly to capture her lips in a searing kiss as the game was cut with a commercial.

I think I'll pass on the summer.
Her hand came up to cup his cheek and she kissed him back before breaking into a grin, "I'm only a distraction because you are perpetually horny. Don't worry, I understand that it's mostly a man thing." Although, if she were to be honest, she was sort of the exact same way. It was no different right then, but she was feeling sappy, perhaps a little romantic because she felt so at ease in the situation. Her hormones weren't completely raging at that moment, she was just happy to be sitting with him, curled up in his arms and snacking.
Faith ran her fingers through his hair at the side and she pressed her lips against his briefly, "I'm just enjoying the moment, don't ruin it by getting all pervy on me now. Maybe later if the Mariners decide to play the game and win." She smirked and nuzzled his cheek. She could only imagine what Emma would say if she saw her like this. The jokes would be endless, although she supposed that Emma was just as bad as she was.

Ethan laughed and poked her in the side. "Can you really blame me?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Faith was an incredibly beautiful woman. And that accent just made it worst. She sounded like pure silk. "And is it mostly a man thing? I mean, I remember you being very handsy with me just last week. Weren't you the one who insisted on round three that night?"
As Faith ran her fingers through his hair, Ethan kissed the inside of her wrist, wondering whether he was going a little too fast with her on the intimacy. Despite his earlier convictions, he still had to ask whether or not they were quite ready for it. Ethan had the tendency to ruin things in a relationship. The problem was that Wyatt was already so attached to Faith.
Laughing, despite his morose thoughts, Ethan gave Faith a little love bite on her neck before grabbing a few chips to stuff it in his mouth.

Faith scrunched her nose, "That was one night as opposed to your every night. And I didn't see you complaining then and we also weren't in the midst of a very important baseball game." She patted his cheek and gave him a smile, "It's okay, bub. I'm not complaining either."
Her eyes softened as he kissed her wrist and she could practically feel herself melting. Intimacy was something that she wasn't necessarily opposed to, but rather, she hadn't quite found it with anyone since she was left by her fiancé. Faith didn't go seeking it out, but she felt as though it came naturally and when it did, she felt like she wanted to embrace it. That being said, if he wanted emotional intimacy rather than just the physical stuff, well, that's where she may draw the line. She couldn't quite dive into her past with anyone and she hadn't tried to because when things began to take a serious turn, she was the first to bow out. It was different with him already, but she still didn't think she could keep herself from running.
Faith cuddled up closer to his chest, and took a deep breath, absorbing her surroundings and ignoring her worries. "This is our best date so far," She said quietly.

"You better not." Ethan growled against her skin and chuckled at the cheek pat.
Whatever worried her about him wanting, if he knew, he would have put it to rest. They were in such a good place in their relationship, more on it would most likely ruin things. Who said you needed to know every inch of your partner to make things good? A little mystery was needed in any relationship. And so far Faith and Ethan were doing great with whatever they knew of each other.
As Faith cuddled close, Ethan tightened his hold around her, letting his fingers trace the skin on her arm. He couldn't have agreed more with her sentiment. While he had loved the physical activities they had participated in the past few months, it was this quiet afternoon in that he really enjoyed the most.
He hummed his agreement and fed himself more chips. The day sped by and when the game ended, and their team lost, Ethan was grumbling at the TV, just shaking his head. The snacks were gone and the couch area was a mess with crumbs. He laughed and deposited Faith on to the couch beside him to shake himself down. He'd spilled some sauce on his shirt and without really thinking it, he took it off to wipe his torso where the sauce had seeped on to his skin. "Jesus, I'm a mess."

Her lower lip jutted out into a pout as she was deposited onto the couch. It was honestly the last thing she wanted, having him stand up and move away from her. Although her complaining could only be short-lived as he peeled off his shirt and made the comment about being a mess. Faith grinned and fanned herself, "A hot mess. A very hot mess."
She leaned her head against the couch cushion and let her eyes scan over his body lazily. The game had been a long one and after the loss, she was ready to just go to bed. Maybe not sleep, but at least be cuddled up close to him and having a little bit of fun given the fact that they were mourning the loss of their team. Instead of saying so directly, she just continued watching him with a smirk and waited for him to pick up on it.

Faith's response to him taking his shirt off had him looking up at her and smirking. He placed both hands on his hips and raised an eyebrow. "I take it you like what you see?" He asked before flexing his arms how the bodybuilders do for a moment before snorting and leaning down to press a kiss on Faith's lips.
"I could take more off if you want."
He dropped the t-shirt on her face before sauntering off in the direction of his room, making a show of removing his belt.
It was really a good thing Wyatt was with Emma right then.

As he put on his show, Faith watched with a small smirk on her lips. She couldn't help the way her eyes rolled so far back in her head because he was obviously being a bit dramatic about the whole thing. Even so, she reciprocated the kiss gratefully and hummed against them when he offered to take off more.
Before she could do anything else, he dropped the shirt on her and went towards the bedroom, taking off his belt in the process. Faith squeezed the shirt to her chest, reveling in the smell of him along with the smell of snacks. However, she made no move to follow him because she was not the chasing type.
With a grin tugging at her lips, she folded her arms across her chest, "I'm not a follower, I'm a 'pick me up and carry me'...er." After all, while he was all gorgeous and everything, she was the real prize wasn't she?

He had already dropped his belt on the floor when Faith responded. Ethan groaned before doubling back and picking her up, slinging her over his shoulder. He ignored any protests that went his way as he brought them both into his room where he practically threw Faith on to his bed.
"You're a very difficult woman, Faith Argent." He teased, unzipping his pants and kicking them off, knowing there was just no way he could do it as sexily as Faith could. He jumped on to the bed, jostling Faith as he did so. He was fully aware that he was acting quite childish but there was something about Faith that made him embrace that side of him even more with her than he did with his brothers even.
"Hello gorgeous." He quirked an eyebrow at her and grinned as he leaned down over her to press his lips against hers.

Faith snorted and squeaked as he hefted her over his shoulder. She propped her chin in her hand as she was carried into his bedroom before letting out a huff when she hit the mattress. She narrowed her eyes at him and folded her arms across her chest, "I'm not difficult. I just expect to be treated like the queen I am." She grinned and flipped her hair over her shoulder as she watched his pants being slung off his foot.
He hopped down on the bed and she giggled as she was jostled around, "Ethan, goodness." Faith couldn't keep the smile from her face and she reached her arms up to loop around his neck as he leaned down to kiss her. She kept him there for a few lingering minutes and sighed softly against his mouth. "Your skin is so hot," She pointed out as she clung tight to him. For someone who was always cold due to poor circulation problems, she reveled in his warmth for as long as she could.

"Call it whatever you want, sweetheart." He winked. In all honesty, treating Faith like a queen wasn't at all difficult. She was incredibly low maintenance, which was something Ethan thought was incredibly sexy in a woman. Especially considering his occupation and his son, he needed low maintenance. She didn't keep tabs on him, she encouraged him to hang out with everyone else besides her and she didn't micromanage anything in his life. Not to mention, she was just as frisky as he was. It wasn't that hard to keep Ethan happy.
Ethan chuckled at her assessment. "Just my skin, huh?" He trailed kisses down her neck, unbuttoning her jersey. "I suppose I can't complain." He continued in a husky tone.
His fingers traced the exposed skin as it was slowly revealed.

Humming in contemplation, as if she really only thought his skin was hot, she shrugged. "I guess all of you is hot, I mean, it isn't like I'm banging you for your personality," She grinned to show that she was only joking. His personality was something that she believed made him more bangable. He was such a laid back person who had confidence and was fun to be around. If that wasn't something to find attractive in someone, she didn't know what was.
Faith reacted under his hands and wiggled her body beneath him. It always ended up this way and she honestly couldn't help herself. The man was beautiful and he had a way of making her completely melt under his touch. It drove her crazy that she felt it on a higher level than she had with anyone else. It was more intimate than she had ever experienced before, even with as animalistic and instinctual as they both were. Something just seemed to click.

Ethan simply chuckled at Faith's response. He wasn't being delusional, he knew Faith liked him for more than the physical aspect of their relationship. Just as much as Ethan like her for more than that. They were just comfortable at the stage they were in without needing to explore more. They knew where each other stood when it came to the roles they played in each other's lives.
And as always, this exploration of the body led to the inevitable and when they were done, Ethan had to check the time to make sure it hadn't run too long that he had forgotten what time his son was due to call. He sighed with relief when he realised he still had time. But he checked his phone for any messages anyway before turning back to Faith, giving her a languid kiss on the lips. He then snaked his arms over her bare stomach and laid back down on his pillow.

I think I'll pass on the summer.
Faith always felt completely at ease when she was in Ethan's bed. Before she never really liked doing the deed in a bed because it felt too personal. Obviously as the therapist that she was, she knew that it stemmed from her severe commitment problems, but she preferred to keep things as impersonal as possible when she was in the act of sleeping around. Given that this was Ethan, her best friend's brother's best friend, or whatever, she knew that there was no way of keeping it impersonal. And if she were to be honest, she'd completely fallen for him already.
When he looped his arms around her stomach, she smiled. Her hands rested on his arms and she closed her eyes for a few moments. With a deep breath, she rolled over to face him and stretched up to trail her finger along the length of his jaw, "How much longer til Wy calls?" While she could have been asking for selfish reasons, which was what she liked to imply, she was more interested in getting to hopefully get a short word in with Ethan's son. Much to her dismay and denial, she had missed having the cute little blonde running around.

It never really occurred to Ethan before to ever introduce any of his conquests to Wyatt. He knew they wouldn't last because he didn't want them to last. But Faith knew Wyatt first before she knew Ethan and suddenly, it just made things easier. He hadn't expected that to happen but it felt natural. Like it was meant to happen.
Emma had to be gloating somewhere knowing she was the one who made it happen.
Faith's question had Ethan checking his phone again before responding. "Under an hour maybe. Why...you wanna go another round before then?" He asked with a smirk. He wasn't about to admit it out loud but he was already missing his son. It hadn't even been a full day and he was already worrying Wyatt wouldn't call. That he was having more fun with Emma than he would be with his dad. It was a silly thought but a prevailing one.
