DANCE WITH ME. BRING MY DEMONS TO THEIR KNEES.
Some trainer had found out that putting all of his students into the same room was a good idea; sure, Isaac understood the foundation of the idea and some of the kids might do good learning from someone who'd had the same power as them for a long time, but Isaac couldn't really see what he'd gain from all of this. He had little interest in teaching a brat or brushing the many egos of the many girls that tossed him stolen glances whenever they thought he wasn't looking.
When the teacher told them to find themselves a partner, Isaac was quick to make a decision. He didn't want to pick any of the overly eager girls, because he didn't want to deal with their hormone filled idea of a "study date" and he'd much rather save the boys for the very same eager girls. Maybe they'd give them something else to pay attention to than him. Nor did he want to deal with one of the children, because honestly he didn't have time for that.
Instead, Isaac picked the only person that didn't seem remotely interested in him as a person. Rather, she seemed too busy observing the crowd around her for anyone to really pay her much mind. Perfect. Getting to his feet, he marched past the blonde who'd quickly started making her way towards him and sat down besides the dark haired girl with the observant eyes. "Hey," he said, gesturing towards the chair next to her. "You in need of a partner?"

The wallflower Being put into a group of people was better for Ellie than any kind of one on one training because she didn't like to be the main focus and she knew that she'd be able to blend into her surroundings. At least, she had hoped. Of course being paired up posed a complication for her because she was now being forced into interacting with her peers and she was unfamiliar with everyone in the classroom. Her eyes were always scanning, always taking everything in. And while she had headphones covering her ears, there was no music playing, she just allowed for everything to be soaked in while keeping everyone else away. Her trainer was fully aware of the way she worked and had okayed the safety net she'd set up for herself, knowing that she was a good student and wouldn't take advantage.
The idea of partnering up made her stomach turn and twist and she remained frozen in her seat. Should she be getting up and looking for someone? Or just remain sitting away from the crowd until one person was left to be partnered with? Elisia took a deep breath and continued watching as everyone picked who they wanted to work with. The vast majority of the class seemed to at least be familiar with each other and she momentarily wished that she'd been more of an outgoing person. There was no going back now.
Her eyes flicked up just as a boy, someone who seemed far too known in the group, gestured to the seat beside her. Ellie reached up and pulled the headphones from over her ears. Her eyes widened fractionally and she just stared at him for a moment before she realized she might need to say something. "I, uh, yeah. Yes, please. Thanks," She clamped her lips shut when she noted that she was on the verge of rambling and she knew she needed to shut the flood gates before it got out of hand.
