The Monster
Everything I touch isn't dark enough
Will's lips twitched into a small smile and he followed her out of the closet to where her shoes had been kicked off. Her question was all he'd been thinking about and his smile fell dramatically, "Too long, love. Too long." And that was no exaggeration. The old fogies gathered weekly and even still they could find things to discuss far into the the night. Evangeline was not one to kick anyone out at a certain time either, she'd always been a night owl anyway.
"C'mon, we'll make the most of it anyway." He tugged on her hand and headed down the hallway. With his fingers laced through hers, he could only hope that the party ended early miraculously. Or that they could be excused from it early on. The main focus was more on the twins than it was on him anyway. But the focus also happened to be on his date, and who could blame them?
Walking through the doors of the ballroom, he took a deep breath and put on a smile, glancing down at her, "Be prepared for lots of questions, Angel. Lots and lots of questions."
I've turned into a monster and it keeps getting stronger

With my feelings on fire
Guess I'm a bad liar
Her shoulders slumped as she threw her head back in exaggerated agony and growled a little. "Dinner parties are the worst." She whined before laughing. She was just glad her father goes to dinner parties and not hosts them. She had her fair share of dinner parties when she was a kid and she did not like it one bit.
She looked at him and grimaced. "I've been here for a week, I mean...you can't think they have more questions for me, do you?"
but still all we do is fear
