All The Boys
She came here to entertain you
Adrian closed her eyes again. She smiled when he agreed with her last statement. It wasn't hard to notice that she took pride in her appearance. Even with the weight that she lost, she was still slim and lean, just more so than usual. Deciding not to focus on the changes she could plainly see in her body, she decided to focus on the way her skin tingled where his lips touched.
Her breathing remained steady and she knew that she could fall asleep to this. While she obviously wanted to give him the same kind of treatment, and though she expected the massage to turn into something more, she could feel the exhaustion tugging at her, working to pull her under.
Adrian sighed, "This was a bad idea to do beforehand. Should have waited till after." She didn't specify what she meant, but she had a feeling it would be obvious.
Isn't she a dream come true?

Adrian's remark brought a smile on his face and he shook his head. It didn't even occur to him to take advantage of the moment. He just wanted her to relax. She deserved this. She had been so damn strong through this whole ordeal that it made sense for her to get her rest.
Dylan was growing even more attached to Adrian than he had wanted and it was getting scary. He had never gotten to this stage with another person before. He didn't want to screw up but history was not on his side. He may not want to screw up but he knew he might.
But it didn't stop him from continuing.
Pressing his lips against her ankle and up to her neck, Dylan took his time and applied pressure every here and there on her body before he settled his lips on hers.
"Go to sleep, Aid." He said, drawing her blanket over her, dragging it deliberately slowly just to see the goosebumps raise all over her body.

All The Boys
She came here to entertain you
By the time he reached her lips again, she was already half-asleep. It was very unlike her to forego sex just so that she could sleep, but circumstances had led her to this. Had it been anybody else, she might have felt guilty or she might have just told them to suck it up. She knew that she didn't have to feel anything like that with him because they had an understanding of each other. He didn't push for much and she didn't ask for much either. They were just living in a pleasant headspace with each other.
Adrian smiled against his lips, but it slipped into a frown as he moved away to pull her blanket over her. She shivered involuntarily and once she was covered up, she reached for him again. It didn't matter that she was tired, she still needed him close.
The last few weeks they'd come to an unspoken agreement that he slept in her bed with her when he stayed. If it were up to her, he wouldn't go back to a hotel at all and he'd just stay in her house the whole time. She knew that was asking for too much though, so she agreed with the terms they had. Sinking into the pillows, she waited for him to lay beside her, her eyes just barely open.
Isn't she a dream come true?

Dylan gladly accommodated Adrian's need for him to be close. He was struck by how simultaneously familiar and unfamiliar this feeling was. Familiar because it was Adrian and unfamiliar because he had never been with a woman in this manner ever. It scared him that there was never a time in his life that made him question his treatment towards women until now.
The fact that they fit perfectly without having to adjust or feel uncomfortable made it easier on Dylan.
He took off his shirt and jeans, tossing them over to the nearest chair before sliding under the blanket with her. One arm slipped under her neck while the other moved down to her waist. Once he closed his eyes, he was out like a light.
The next morning found him in a familiar position as he did the first time he slept with Adrian. A small smile carved on to his lips before he pulled away the hair that had covered her face. He pushed his fingers back through her hair before leaning in to press a kiss on her lips.

Given the way that they were, it seemed ironic that she had let him be the one that she allowed for cuddling. Adrian had a strict no-cuddling or sleepover policy before. She'd never been the cuddly type anyway, but to have a guy that she hardly knew wrapped around her didn't sit well at all. Maybe that was her way of justifying why she didn't mind it being Dylan that was wrapped around her. She knew him on a more personal level than she ever got to know anybody else.
She was already awake by the time he woke up, but her eyes remained closed because she just wanted to soak up the feeling a little longer. It was going to be another long and hard day, she didn't want to start it yet. If she could just pretend to be asleep for a little while longer, she was going to. He pushed back the hair in her face and she knew her time was almost up. When his lips descended on her own, she grinned against them and her hand went up to the side of his neck.
Her eyes opened when she pulled back and she stroked his cheek lightly with her thumb, "Is it absolutely terrible that I want to just lay in bed like this all day? It's selfish, but...it's all I can think about."
Isn't she a dream come true?

Feeling her reciprocate and smile against the kiss brought out a smile from Dylan as well. He scrunched his nose up when she pulled away but he kept close, his hand placed over hers. Turning his head to the side, he kissed the inside of her wrist and hummed his acknowledgment of her remark.
"It's not." He responded, his voice husky, still adjusting to being awake.
"Actually, why don't you stay in bed? I don't have to be at work until the afternoon anyway." He slid his hand up and down her bare side, reveling in the smoothness and warmth. "I can make you breakfast in bed. Well, bring...you breakfast in bed." He smirked, thanking the Gods of drive-thrus.

All The Boys
She came here to entertain you
She found that she was getting comfortable with waking up to him kissing her first thing in the morning. It was so natural to act so much like they were a normal couple. If she didn't know any better, she might have thought that they could be. It was inevitable for them to fall apart though. They had a pattern of messing up when things seemed to be going well. And neither of them could really face the commitment of a real relationship. It was only possible now because there was a tragic event looming over them.
Adrian smiled and leaned forward to kiss him again when he agreed with her. She was weak in the morning and all she wanted to do was be close to him. No walls were up, she just enjoyed adoring him openly. She knew what she wanted was unlikely. Staying in bed all day would require her not to be a busy body and she definitely was in high stress situations. However, her body was making her pay for it and she knew that she couldn't be this exhausted when going back home to her job and to school.
When he suggested that she do what she wanted to, her eyebrow arched and she laughed, "That's crazy. I can't. I have to take care of Mom and keep working on arrangements." It didn't even occur to her that there was any other option besides her being the one to do it all. Dylan was just a guest, he'd just met Amelia and he wasn't even Adrian's boyfriend. Asking him to do anything more than what he already had seemed to be taking advantage of his generosity. He'd already stayed in California for her. Hell, he'd been the one that took her to California in the first place. Her eyebrows pulled together and she leaned in to press her forehead against his, "I can't let you do that, really. I'll be okay, I'll have time to sleep after."
Isn't she a dream come true?

Her response got Dylan sighing in exasperation. Adrian's stubbornness was completely unnecessary and misplaced at times. He cupped her cheek and let her press her forehead against his as he closed his eyes. "Adrianna...I'm offering. You're not the one making me do anything." He said before opening his eyes to look at her. "There's honestly no use being stubborn when you have too much on your plate, Princess."
He let his hand drop before taking hers. "I insist on doing this, alright? Delegation is key to less stress. I know you're feeling overwhelmed right now so please let me do this. For you, for your mom. You can concentrate on the arrangements. Have you spoken to my detective friend about reaching out to your family?"

He was offering, but she struggled with taking offers. Adrian was a do-it-yourselfer. Delegation didn't get her anywhere because if she delegated she wasn't controlling the situation. But the way he said her name made her melt and she realized that she didn't have much of a leg to stand on when it came to him. How he'd managed to completely derail her was impossible to understand.
Adrian's arms wrapped around his neck and she rolled over to lay on top of him, "In my defense, you bring out the stubbornness full force. Second to that, I really, really appreciate everything you've done for me. That's why I'm being stubborn." Leaning down to peck his lips, she flashed him a grin.
The question about reaching out to her family made her nose scrunch and she shook her head, "I've been neglecting that mess. I can't make up my mind. Now that she's in better spirits and isn't so Zombie-like, I don't want to do anything to mess it up and I don't want to think about it being gone forever. The rest of that family...I just don't know if it's a good idea anymore."

Dylan gave her a smug grin when she blamed him for her stubbornness. "Fine, I'll take the blame for that one." He shrugged, pulling her back for a proper kiss, pulling her on top of him. He slid an arm under his neck to prop him up slightly and looked up at her with a sigh.
He reached a hand up to run his fingers through her hair as she responded to his query. Truthfully, he hadn't been all that eager about Adrian seeking the rest of her family out. The more time he spent with Amelia and Adrian, the more he felt like Amelia had good reason not to reach out, despite not knowing the actual reason.
"Okay," he said as the tips of his fingers traced her face lightly. "Whatever you want to do." Dylan added. "So what do you want for breakfast?"

Adrian kissed him back, doing her best not to smile. It felt wrong to feel any small break of happiness given her situation, but he made her happy. He made her feel so much better than she thought she would. Her expression softened and she ran her fingers along his face, across his lips and over his nose, just committing it to memory for when everything got messed up.
When he asked the big question, she grinned and hummed as she thought about it. Her stomach started rumbling and she scrunched her face up at the sound. It was clear that her body was starting to show signs that it had been neglected.
"I'm thinking pancakes. Ooo and bacon. Lots of bacon," She pressed her lips against his again. "I'm reluctant to let you get up though. I think you're going to have to move me yourself because I don't have the will power to do it."

The rumbling caused Dylan to chuckle as he was struck by how incredibly adorable Adrian actually was. He'd never really been with women he considered lovable until now and it was pleasant. Her response to his question was met with a smile and a nod. "Good choice. Very good choice." He replied before chuckling at her remark.
"Okay...five more minutes then." He conceded as he wrapped his arms around Adrian's waist, settling his joined hands on the small of her back. As Dylan looked at Adrian, a soft smile curved his lips. He was aware that this was too good to be true and the moment he stepped out of the house, the bubble would burst. But looking at her now, he didn't seem to mind the fact that this was his new normal. For now.
More than five minutes passed and he groaned before rolling over, hovering over Adrian with his hands propped on either side of Adrian's head. "You're a bad influence on me, Carstyn." He dipped his head and captured her lips with his for a solid minute before getting off the bed. He pulled on pants and the t-shirt he had worn yesterday before walking out of the room.
He checked on Amelia, telling her that he was getting breakfast and would be coming back after, leaving the house with a smile on his face that lasted until he came back. With his arms full of food with additional groceries for the day, he headed to the kitchen and called out to Adrian to let her know he was back.

Adrian grinned widely when he wrapped his arms around her waist and allowed her five more minutes of cuddling before she let him go. It made her nauseous to think that she'd become this kind of girl that was reluctant to separate from him, but given that she knew she was falling for him more each minute, she knew it was only going to get worse. Until one of them slipped up, they were going to be the sappy couple that nobody wanted to be around because they were so infatuated with each other...and handsy.
Feeling his eyes on her, she made faces at him for a few minutes before she settled her head against his chest, just under his chin. It didn't feel like they'd let five minutes pass, in fact, by the time it was closer to ten, she felt like it had only been two. He rolled them over and she began to protest as she'd just gotten very comfortable. Her hand reached up to cup his cheek and she smiled at his comment. It gave her heart a little squeeze that she had any influence over him at all. The kiss ended much sooner than she would have liked and she turned on her side to watch him get dressed, her face puckered in disappointment as he put his t-shirt on. "Remember, lots of bacon," She said with a grin as he left her room. Adrian rolled over on her back and listened as he went to her mothers room and then left the house.
She'd be lying if she said she hadn't moved from bed while he was gone. Adrian had tidied up the kitchen, sat with her mother for a bit. Amelia was quick to shoo her off and told her that she needed a day off and to let the hunky slice of man take over. She went back to bed after getting her mother set up with a glass of water and adjusting the pillows she was laying on. Falling back in her bed, she curled up around the blankets and couldn't help but smile that the other pillow was starting to smell like him. Minutes later she heard the door and she remained firmly planted in bed as to not ruin what he'd offered, "I'm still where you left me," She answered back, hoping that she hadn't just given herself away.

As he put the different foods onto separate plates, he heard Adrian's response and smiled. Once he was done plating the food, he went to Amelia's room first with her food. He chatted with her a bit, made sure that she at least took a few bites before he was shooed off. He held his hands up in mock surrender before leaving her room.
He grabbed the remaining plates of food, placing them on to a tray with two bottles of water before heading to Adrian's room. He had to close the door with his foot and it closed with a small bang, surprising even him. "Whoops." He grinned sheepishly at Adrian before going over to the bed, using his butt to scooch her away. He climbed into bed slowly and placed the tray on his lap. "As promised, lots of bacon." He gestured to the mountain of bacon on one plate with waffles and pancakes on the other.
"We're going to have a serious discussion about your choice of breakfast foods. Waffles are obviously superior but it's fine. At least you understand the importance of bacon."

Adrian rolled over to her side of the bed, pushing herself up on her elbows. She glanced down at the t-shirt she was wearing that she hadn't been when he left and tried to play it off as nothing when she reached for the bottle of water on the tray. Uncapping it, she took a long drink and grinned as she pulled it away from her lips. He had pulled through with a pile of bacon and for that she was thankful.
She scooted closer to him and leaned her head against his shoulder, her eyes on the bacon, "You're the absolute best." Looking up at him, she smirked, "You're okay, too." Adrian snagged a piece of bacon from the mound and placed it between her teeth, chewing on it as he went on about her choice of breakfast food. Pulling the bacon strip from her mouth, she scoffed, "Are you kidding? Pancakes trump waffles everyday of the week. But, yes, bacon is the king of breakfast meats." She finished the piece of bacon and leaned up to press her lips to his cheek, "I'm super lucky that you're here to bring me breakfast though. I really appreciate it, baby."
