With his acceptance to her offer, she felt instant relief. Adrian didn't know why she needed him so much, but it was comforting that he was obliging for the time being. She didn't know whether she should still feel skeptical of him remaining present, but for the time being she was going to take what she was getting. He'd already done so much for her in the last few months, it didn't seem fair to be skeptical of him anymore.

Her arm tightened around him and she pressed her face into his neck, "Good and a long time." She could always blame the words on her grief, right? Adrian had a feeling that she'd be blaming a lot of things on her grieving period once she was better, but that was a problem for another time. For now, all she wanted was to wallow and take the comfort she was given. Her eyes slid shut and she could feel her exhaustion starting to become more and more prominent until she drifted off.
