Dressed Like an Angel
I couldn't look you in the eye
Certainly there was a logical explanation for the sudden insatiable desires that had come to plague Charlotte the last few months. It had nothing to do with her older brother being so wrapped up in preparing for the baby that he couldn't think much further than that, nor the fact that he looked sicker and sicker by the day with no explanation why. It definitely wasn't because she didn't have her twin to ease her troubled mind with that strong, stable grip that he had over his emotions when she needed him. Charlotte was coping with all of these things just fine on her own, and she didn't need any help with it. Her insatiability simply had to do with the fact that her boyfriend was a stud and she couldn't keep her hands to herself. After all, she was young, wasn't that what people did at this age?
Max was hardly given a chance to walk into her room before she all but rushed him. She'd just gotten off the phone with her brother and the more time she spent away from him, the more different he began to sound. It wasn't just the hint of an accent forming, it was the softness in his voice. That typical Spencer edge had begun to take form in his tone and she didn't know whether she should be relieved by it or afraid of what it meant. All she knew was that she needed to take her mind off of it, off of everything that had the potential to go wrong. Her and Max had been in such a good place since the Christmas party. He'd helped her through the first couple of weeks that Miles had been away, given her the space she needed when she was looking after Spencer to make sure her best friend was coping alright. It was a relief to have a boyfriend that wasn't altogether threatened by the relationship she shared with her best friend.
Arms snaked around his neck impatiently as he sought to remove his jacket and she stole a kiss before he could object, "Allow me to remove that for you." Charlotte grinned wickedly at him, her hands sliding up his chest and under his jacket. She helped him shrug out of it, her hands roaming over the muscles of his arms and shoulders. Her head tilted to the side for a moment and she smiled up at him, "I'd ask you how your day was, but I kind of need less talking and more kissing." With that she kissed him again, her lips lingering a little longer this time, hands coming up to lock behind his neck.
You're so very special, but I'm a creep.

Murder on The Dancefloor
But you better not kill the groove
Months had passed since being home with the family, and Max was beginning to feel homesick again. He didn't really know why but his mother had been on his mind a lot more lately.
Also on his mind, his girlfriend. God it sounded so foreign on his tongue despite it being the most natural transition. It wasn't like he never had a girlfriend before, but somehow, it just felt different. Good different but different all the same.
Max had an insatiable appetite but Charlotte seemed to be on a class of her own. It had spiked since Miles left. She'd been spending more time with Spencer, which usually wasn't a problem for Max. Well, it still wasn't because Charlotte was also becoming a lot more physically affectionate. He couldn't see where the problem was in that, so he didn't. What was he going to do, feign a headache when his girlfriend gave him one of the best sex of his entire adulthood?
It was during one such incident that it occurred to him that she was doing it maybe for a reason. A reason which was unfathomable to him at that moment because she was removing articles of his clothing with that mischievous glint in her eyes. He reciprocated the kiss more than eagerly as he slowly guided them to bed. His fingers slid behind her, tugging the hem of her shirt up before deftly unhooking her bra.
She had taught him that move during one of their sessions and he has been grateful ever since. "Oh kissing is going to be more than what we'd do." He said against her lips as his hand moved to her stomach and upwards. "God you feel so soft." He sighed before he grabbed her by the waist and threw her on to the bed, climbing in after her. He smirked down at her and unbuttoned her shirt, pushing it away from her before admiring the way she looked just like that. "How'd I get so lucky?"

Dressed Like an Angel
I couldn't look you in the eye
Charlotte let out a squeak and laughed as she was tossed onto the bed, already feeling better with her bra unhooked and no longer squeezing the life from her. He followed soon after, fingers working on the buttons of her shirt quickly and skillfully as she watched him. Her brain went a little hazy with lust, but the feel good hormones of being near him caused her to smile wide at his compliment and sent blood rushing to her cheeks. "I think I'm the lucky one. Have you seen you?" She was pretty enough, sure, but Max was in a league of his own. Far out of her league if she were being honest with herself.
It still to this day shocked her that he'd been so enamored by her that he wanted to date her instead of the alternative of just fooling around with no feelings attached. Honestly, she'd have tried to do it if it was what he wanted, but having those feelings reciprocated was a lot better for her state of mind. Her fingers traced the edge of his jaw and she bit her bottom lip, looking up at him coyly, "Are you just gonna keep looking at me or are you going to do something about it?"
Anything at this point was better than talking about the reason behind her need for constant physical intimacy. She'd take the round after round of sexcapades over talking about their feelings any day and was content to know that Max wasn't objecting. At least, he hadn't yet. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she pulled him back down for a long kiss, tongue familiarizing itself with his for the thousandth time. Yep, she was fine and this was doing exactly the job she needed it to.
You're so very special, but I'm a creep.

Murder on The Dancefloor
But you better not kill the groove
He laughed at her response, shaking his head at the absurdity of it. Charlotte's beauty was only comparable to her wit and wisdom. He couldn't count the times he had been caught staring at her because he was awe-struck by her appearance. "Let's not get into the vicious cycle of compliments. You wanted me to use my mouth elsewhere." He smirked.
So he did. His lips moved down to her stomach, making his way up. As he kissed his way up her body, he took his time removing her shirt and then her bra, tossing them to the side as he continued with his kisses.
He accommodated when she pulled him up to kiss him, losing himself in it as his hand moved down to unbutton her jeans. His hand disappeared under the band as he continued to kiss her.
--
His finger slowly moved up from her wrist to the crease of her elbow and up her shoulder before moving back down. He repeated it a few more times as his eyes fixed on her face. He was staring again and he wasn't about to stop. "What's on your mind, love."

His words were followed by a vigorous nod and she couldn't help but laugh at her own impatience. In her defense, his mouth was really good for more than just talking. While his lips worked their way across her skin, she squirmed beneath him, grateful that he was as lust-driven as she was most of the time. He was a do first ask questions later kind of guy and she had no complaints to follow. She lost herself in his kiss, her hands gripping his shoulders tight and holding him in place while his fingers dipped lower.
--
The recovery bit was the only time that Charlotte worried about her time with Max. Between bouts of sexual gratification, there was a waiting period and it left enough time for him to look at her the way he was, inquiring about the thoughts going through her head. Char wanted to wave it off, tell him that she was brainless because he'd dicked her down the way she needed. But she hated the idea of lying to him outright. She could be as evasive as she wanted to be, but he didn't deserve to be blatantly lied to about it. Especially when all he was doing was worrying about her well-being.
Charlotte brushed her thumb over his bottom lip, her own eyes following the contours of his face. It was such a nice face, one that she always wanted to be smiling. Her teeth sank into her lip and she sighed, "It's been kinda obvious right? That I'm...trying to busy myself." He would catch onto anything, she thought. If not because he was observant in general, then because he seemed intent on knowing every facet of her face and her expressions. "I'm worried about Miles. Ever since he left...it just feels wrong without him. And then when I talk to him, hoping that it'll take that feeling away...it's just been getting worse. He doesn't sound like my brother anymore. At least...not like Miles. He sounds more like Will every day."

Murder on The Dancefloor
But you better not kill the groove
Smiling softly at the lip brush, Max looked at Charlotte, nothing but adoration in his eyes. A small chuckle left his lips at her response before he shrugged. He liked that he knew her enough to know her when things were off.
Her explanation left a slight frown on his face but he continued to listen, not interrupting until he was sure she was done. He didn't really have anything to say, all he wanted to do was make her feel comfortable being able to talk to him at all.
He took her hand and placed a kiss on her knuckles. "Will still hasn't come around?" He asked. He thought there had been a reprieve in the sibling quarrel but from the way she spoke, it mustn't have. But it did concern him a little that Miles wasn't the same. He supposed the younger man was simply growing up. But being his twin might give more of an insight to his inner workings than a friend. "Have you told him your concern?"

His lips pressed to her hand and she smiled, reaching up with the same hand to smooth out the furrowing of his eyebrows. She didn't want him to be frowning. He had the prettiest smile in the world and it was all she wanted to see from him for the rest of her life if she were being completely honest. His question was an innocent one, but it was loaded. There was so much going on that she couldn't even figure out, let alone tell him about.
"Will's...I dunno. Things were going really well for a minute and then...it's like since he found out Cassidy is pregnant, he's acting like a lunatic. He's always disappearing for 'appointments' and he has 'meetings' but they have nothing to do with school, I know it. I'm not sure if he's like stepping out on Cas because he can't stomach being a dad, or what the deal is. He completely disengaged himself from his best friend." He buried her face against his chest when the rambling started, her emotions becoming a little out of whack and she soaked up the comfort that was emanating from him.
Char nuzzled against his throat and let out a soft sigh, "I don't know how to tell him. I know we're twins and it should be easy. The distance just...it's making everything difficult. Like there's a steel wall separating us instead of an ocean. I can't see him, I can only hear him and what I'm hearing is distorted and wrong." And was giving her the kind of anxiety that led to attacks, ones that she'd managed to put off for a long time - thanks in large part to her beautiful boyfriend. "It's so heavy, ya know? I feel so stupid for reading into it, but I know Miles better than I know myself."
You're so very special, but I'm a creep.

Murder on The Dancefloor
But you better not kill the groove
It pained him to see Charlotte feel so helpless. There was no longer the vitriol he would have felt when it came to her talking about her eldest brother but there was still some untidy emotion that was rolling off of Charlotte.
And it seemed to have the same energy as when she spoke about Miles and that felt even more heartbreaking to Max. Honestly, he wanted her to keep talking but he just didn't want her to feel shitty, not after what they had just done.
He splayed his hand over her chest. "You have too big a heart, Char." He said, pressing his hand against her, willing the pain away. But he wasn't the one with the abilities, unfortunately. So he let his hand move up to the back of her neck before pulling her up to him to kiss her lips. First softly, then with a little more urgency.
Maybe he could continue distracting her. Even if it was for a moment.

Dressed Like an Angel
I couldn't look you in the eye
She could feel her heartbeat racing agains the palm of his hand and it caused her to smile. Her boyfriend was honestly the most perfect person - a thought she had frequently at random points when she was with him. He may not have been a meta, but he had a way of coaxing her own emotions regardless, pulling on her heartstrings with moments like this. She often wondered and hoped if it would always be like this between them, but before she could get much deeper in that thought cycle, his lips met hers and she melted into him.
The deeper the kiss got, the more her brain function fizzled out and she relied heavily on her instincts to guide her through everything else. She threw her leg over his waist to straddle him and gave herself better leverage to kiss him, her fingers slipping into his hair. When she broke away from his lips, she pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, whispering against his skin, "My heart belongs completely to you, Maxxie."
Her grin widened and she sat back, her fingers tracing over the planes of his face. She wasn't in any rush this time, though her mind had been plagued with worry, as long as she was wrapped around him, she could find other things to think about. Like how perfect every facet of his face was. "I think we should go back to England soon, spend another holiday there. Eva misses us and I can tell you miss being home, too."
You're so very special, but I'm a creep.

Murder on The Dancefloor
But you better not kill the groove
His hands gripped her waist when she climbed on top of him. He was still climbing down from the high she had given him, the movement was too soon but it only made their kiss that much more potent. It ended too soon but what she said made up for it.
"As is mine to you, Char." He responded, a soft smile curving on his lips. They hadn't broken out the L word but it couldn't be too long. They knew what they meant to each other.
He adjusted himself and let his hand lazily move up and down Charlotte's back. Her next statement had him smiling wider and he chuckled. "Have I been that obvious?" He asked. "I love it here, I do but I guess it's just not home yet." He sighed before looking up at her. Once again, he gripped her waist before pulling himself up in a sitting position, wrapping one arm around her waist while the other ran through her hair.
"We could spend our term break there. Miles is set to come back then, right?" Max asked. "I'm sure Spencer would love to go as well. Has she spoken to you about how she is? I sort of worry about her a little, not being around Miles and being...what she is." He grimaced slightly. Spencer was still dealing, and on top of that, she was struggling with bringing her sister Freya over, which wasn't exactly a cake walk. Max just felt like an overprotective brother towards his girlfriend's best friend.
