He rolled his eyes when she stuck her tongue out at him and he wondered where she went when her eyes glazed over. He took the time to just look at his best friend and now apparently someone he got to properly kiss in bed. She was ridiculously beautiful, almost flawless.
He sighed and narrowed his eyes when she came back to him. "Not your nachos?" He asked in mock confusion. He of course knew exactly what she was referring to and had to tease her for suddenly being serious. He gave her a grin and leaned down to press his lips against her neck.
He knew he shouldn't be pushing them too fast but he couldn't help finding out what he had been missing. He'd wanted to do this since the first time they met. He wanted to find out what sounds she made if he did what. He just wanted to know what made her tick.

Her eyes rolled back in her head, "I hate you." She knew he wasn't serious, but she also knew that he understood where she was actually going before he was a smart ass. He kissed her neck and she squirmed, "Not even fair. I can't move!"
She twisted underneath him and pulled one of her hands away from his. With her free hand, she guided his lips back to hers and nipped his bottom lip, "Keep messing with me and you'll start a war you won't last long in." Her eyebrows waggled suggestively and she snorted. In all fairness, Nicky wouldn't be home for hours. And she was mildly curious. Okay, more than mildly, but she wasn't about to show him just how curious she had been.
"You sure you want to do that?"

"That is a fucking lie and we both know it." He chuckled lazily, giving her a smirk. He loosened his grips on her and let her free her arm, accepting the kiss. She surprised him with the lip bite but it was a welcomed surprise.
Her very suggestive tone made him raise an eyebrow and look at her challengingly. "Are you actually asking me whether I want to explore your body for the rest of the day before our son comes back from school?" He asked, his smirk deepening.

"Or is it?" She waggled her eyebrows again and shrugged. It was a total fucking lie, but she had to keep him on his toes and deny it. He couldn't have everything he wanted from her. That was part of her charm, she was hard to handle, and she liked to believe that she could still be unpredictable.
When he gave his answer, she folded her now free arms across her chest, "Well if you're gonna be a smart ass..." She trailed off and shrugged, dropping her arms to her side and yawning dramatically. "I am still pretty tired, after all." Okay, she was a tease, a tempt, a total asshole, but she'd always been decent at playing hard to get. Nick was almost fifteen, she'd been playing hard to get for a decade and a half.

Oh it was definitely a lie and Patch wasn't going to play her game so he rolled his eyes and rolled off her, lying on his back. He played with her hair and let her be the tease he knew her to be.
"I guess sleep wouldn't be that bad an idea." He said before sitting up and getting off the bed. "Well, since there's nothing on the table, I might as well go to the store."

Immediately she felt cold without him beside her. It wasn't like she didn't expect that kind of reaction. They always did this. A constant fight between both of their stubborn personalities. It wasn't that she was avoiding the act, she just couldn't accept that it was real. It was natural, sure, but it was still a surprise. She'd never expected him to actually be hers. Not in this sense.
She curled up on the bed and chewed on her lower lip. In all her stubborn fashion, she shrugged, "K, bye. Have fun." Layla pulled the blankets that had fallen off the bed with her and buried her face in them.
It was always this dynamic, but she never really knew which way he would go. Whether he would just leave or if he'd give in and stay with her despite her attitude. It was the constant struggle she'd had, always waiting for him to leave. "I love you, don't forget the milk," She added for good measure.

Smiling and shaking his head at her response, Patch realised that playing chicken with Layla always, always had him losing. There was no way he was going to leave her now that he knew everything was laid out bare. She had the same feelings he had for her. He knew she wanted him just as much as he wanted her. How could he leave now?
He went to the door and closed it purposefully once Layla was under the covers. He stepped into the shadows and summoned his own to make sure Layla didn't see him still there and he waited.

Layla wasn't really upset with him leaving. She knew that he had stuff to do and he was just as stubborn as she was, so to be upset would be hypocritical. It was no different than if he'd copped an attitude with her for being stubborn. Which they both had done early on in their friendship, but it was different now.
She curled up closer with the blankets and closed her eyes. Layla found it especially to be angry when all she could think about was the fact that he'd kissed her. After all this time, he'd finally kissed her. It was all she could see when her mind drifted into dreaming and she just hoped that it was one of those memories she'd be able to hold onto forever.

Watching her drift to sleep, Patch couldn't help but feel ridiculous. He was being that creepy ass hundred year old vampire staring at the teenager while she slept. But could he really blame himself? Layla, his beautiful and peaceful Layla, was slowly succumbing to sleep.
"What a little shit." He said to himself before pulling down his shadows and crawling into bed with her, his arms around her waist. He pressed a kiss against the back of her neck and proceeded to fall asleep as well.
And that was how Nicky found his parents that day.
