imma say all the words inside my head
Don't you tell me what you think that I could be
Admittedly, Dylan got distracted way too many times watching Adrian play. His heart wasn't in it anyway, he found out. And when Adrian won, he had to hide a smirk as she did her victory lap.
"Oh no what a bummer. I totally tried to win." He couldn't help the snort and grin that came after as he looked at Adrian's pose. "Jesus Christ you're adorable." He rubbed his face lightly before shrugging. "Okay, I concede."
They spent the rest of the flight playing other games and watching a movie of Adrian's choosing and soon enough, Liam's voice crackled through the speakers again to announce their descent. Dylan clipped his seatbelt on and grasped Adrian's hand subconsciously.
He concentrated on his breathing once more and closed his eyes. Soon enough, they hit the tarmac and Dylan opened his eyes. Waiting for Liam to announce that they were safely on the ground, Dylan pulled Adrian's hand up to his lips.
"So I have to go to a lunch meeting at the hotel I'm staying, there's a car that will bring you to your house. I'll call you after the lunch is done?"

All The Boys
She came here to entertain you
Adrian kept a tight grip on his hand as they started the descent. She could tell he was about as keen on landing as he was on taking off. Her thumb made circles over his skin and she watched as her home started coming into view. California had always been amazing to see from a bird's eye view. A smile crept to her face and she squeezed his fingers.
Her eyes turned to him as he lifted her hand to his lip and her expression softened. She could get used to the sweet gestures he did while they were together. He'd turned out to be so different from what she'd thought and it gave her a sense of relief. After a moment her smile turned to a pout and she had to look down to keep him from seeing how disappointed she was. Adrian knew that he was here for work, but it didn't make her any happier that she was going to have to separate from him.
Better for her to see her mother on her own first so that she could spare him her initial reaction. No way was it going to be good.
Adrian lifted her eyes once she was sure that her face wouldn't give too much away. She smiled and nodded, "Yes please." Her smile slipped and she pursed her lips, "When do I get to see you?"
Isn't she a dream come true?

It wasn't too hard to notice the change in Adrian's demeanour but Dylan didn't say anything. It wasn't his place and it made him feel a little lost on how to react, if he were being honest. That wasn't a feeling he liked but for now, he could quell it.
He returned the smile Adrian gave and when she asked when she would be seeing him, Dylan shrugged and shook his head. "I'm not entirely certain but most likely the earliest will be tomorrow after five."
He didn't let on that he could very well meet her way before that but he needed the time to himself. Dylan wasn't ready to admit that he was scared of how easy it was for him to fall for Adrian's charm.
The seatbelt sign turned off and they got off the plane, hands still twined together. There were two similar black cars waiting for them with the drivers grabbing the bags from the crew. Liam climbed down behind them and Dylan hugged him, telling him that he'd be seeing him in a few more days.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Adrian." He smiled and stroked her cheek before going into his car.
